Drivers from the region can no longer work in Tashkent

Now, drivers operating a non-routine taxi business can only work in the territory indicated on their license card and adjacent regions. The Ministry of Transport gave an official explanation for this.

For example, a car with the number "10" registered in the Tashkent region can work as a taxi in the city of Tashkent, Syrdarya or Namangan regions. Cars with the number Samarkand can only work in their region and adjacent regions.

This procedure came into force in accordance with the resolution of 2025 and serves to regulate taxi activities and increase local employment. Some benefits for the self-employed have also been preserved. Taxes for drivers with incomes exceeding 100 million soums will be automatically collected.
