Driver Detained in Kashkadarya After Nearly Running Over Children

A 21-year-old driver was detained in the city of Karshi after driving a Damas vehicle without a license and speeding through an area with multi-story apartment buildings. The Ministry of Internal Affairs' Road Safety Service reported the incident.
The driver failed to heed signals to stop from a prevention inspector and citizens. Children were playing on the street at the time; as the Damas approached at high speed, the children were forced to scramble to the sides of the road to avoid being hit.
The driver did not possess a driver's license at all. He stated that he had taken the Damas without his older brother's permission and expressed regret for his actions. Administrative violation reports were drawn up against the driver regarding the incident.
