Reality show star Mercy Atang has caused a stir on social media after she wore a dress made from more than 500 loaves of bread at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards in Nigeria.
She said the unusual dress was designed to promote her bread-making business. Fashion designer Toyin Lawan called the idea a “let’s all wear our own business” trend.
While some on social media praised the dress as a creative approach, others criticized it as a waste of food.
