Dozens of tons of dangerous meat and eggs destroyed in Tajikistan

Products that pose a danger to the health of citizens were identified by employees of the Committee on Food Safety under the Government of Tajikistan

In the first 6 months of 2023, dozens of tons of hazardous food products have been destroyed in Tajikistan.

This list included eggs, honey, fruits and meat products.

This was announced by the head of the Committee on Food Safety under the Government of the country Muhammadsaid Faizullozoda during a press conference.

In total during this period were disposed of:

meat products - 28.4 tons,

dairy products - 5.1 tons,

vegetable oil - a thousand liters,

15356.0 pieces

bird eggs - 15.3 thousand pieces,

fish - 391 kg.

244 kg of honey, 4.5 tons of pickles, 3.3 tons of dried fruits, 10.5 tons of fruits and vegetables were also identified.

The committee staff recognized the products as low-quality and dangerous, they were withdrawn from sale and destroyed.

Faizullozoda said that in order to identify poor-quality products, employees of the institution conducted 555.5 thousand inspections of the country's consumer markets.
