Donnie Yen Returns to the "John Wick" Universe: Production Begins on New Caine Project

"John Wick" fans have a reason to celebrate as a continuation of the story will soon hit the big screen. Filming for the new "John Wick" spin-off has officially commenced. Donnie Yen announced the start of production by sharing the film's poster on his blog with the intriguing caption: "And so it begins."
The plot will focus on events following "John Wick: Chapter 4." Caine is freed from his obligations to the "High Table," but he finds it impossible to escape his past. Additionally, the character Akira, played by Rina Sawayama, is expected to join the project. However, the premiere date remains a secret for now.
For reference, the first installment of "John Wick," starring Keanu Reeves, was released in 2014 and remains one of the best films in the action genre. Notably, there are also plans to create an anime and a samurai-western style project based on the "John Wick" franchise.
