A court sentence was read to two individuals who were involved in the illegal storage and sale of donkey meat in the Kashkadarya region.
The first defendant organized a secret slaughterhouse in his house, brought donkeys from various places and sold their meat. During the investigation, more than 247 kg of donkey meat and skins were found in his house. The defendant stated in his statement that he took the meat to the Chorsu market in Tashkent and sold it to dog breeders. He also stated that the reason for this was his wife's serious illness - brain cancer. The second person was involved in the unauthorized sale of meat at the Karvon market, and an even larger amount of donkey meat was confiscated.
During the trial, it was not proven that they worked together as a criminal group, so each was held separately liable, and the first was sentenced to 3 years and 25 days in prison, and the second to 1 year and 6 months in prison.
