On December 12, TIME magazine announced Donald Trump as its “Person of the Year 2024.” He was recognized as the person who had the greatest impact on the world. Along with Trump, the list of candidates for 2024 included US Vice President Kamala Harris, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, entrepreneur Elon Musk, Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s widow Yulia Navalnaya, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others. Trump has always been in the spotlight and the center of the world, survived assassination attempts, won elections and will begin his second term as president in January 2025.

In 2023, this title was held by singer Taylor Swift.
