In Russia, a two-year-old girl swallowed 250 magnetic balls. Doctors saved her without the need for surgery.
Her parents brought her to the hospital due to a severe cough. An examination revealed numerous foreign objects in her stomach. Recognizing that the magnets could pull the intestinal walls together, potentially causing perforation and severe inflammation, doctors immediately initiated treatment. First, the intestines were examined using a special camera, and it was determined that they had sustained no damage. Subsequently, all 250 magnets were removed from the stomach via the esophagus using an endoscopic procedure.
The girl is currently in good condition and is expected to be discharged from the hospital soon.
