Dmitry Medvedev sent a letter to President Ilham Aliyev

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev sent a letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Report informs that the text of the letter reads:

"Dear Ilham Heydarovich,

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Alievich Aliyev.

Your father entered world history as an outstanding politician, a symbol of modern Azerbaijani statehood. Being a worthy son of his people, he laid the foundations for the current vector of development of the new Azerbaijan - a strong, prosperous Republic that pursues an independent and pragmatic policy in the international arena.

Russia highly appreciates Geidar Alievich's great personal contribution to the consistent development of good neighborly relations between our countries.

I wish you, dear Ilham Heydarovich, good health, well-being and further success, and peace and prosperity to the entire Azerbaijani people."
