Divorces increased and marriages decreased in Uzbekistan - Statistics Committee

In the first half of 2025, 23.3 thousand cases of divorce were reported in Uzbekistan. This is 800 more than in the same period last year. Statistically, 60.6% (14.1 thousand) of divorces occurred in urban areas and 39.4% (9.2 thousand) in rural areas.

The most divorce cases were reported in the city of Tashkent (1.5 thousand), The Tashkent region (1.2 thousand) and the Fergana region (1.2 thousand). The minimum separation was in Navoi region — 310. During the same period, 95.3 thousand marriages were registered. This is 2.1 thousand less than in the corresponding period of 2024. 51.1% of marriages were arranged in urban areas and 48.9% in rural areas.
