Discounts for Expiring Products to Be Introduced in Uzbekistan

According to a government decree, large supermarkets and grocery stores in Uzbekistan will set up special shelves for products nearing their expiration date. Prices for these items will gradually decrease every 10 days.

Additionally, measures will be taken to prevent losses in the supply chain, strengthen quality control, and hold training seminars for farmers.

The years 2026–2030 have been declared the “Period of Essential Food Security,” during which the “Smart Consumption” program will be implemented.
