Dinosaur skin bag to be auctioned in the Netherlands
A bag made from dinosaur DNA will be auctioned in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on May 11. The starting price is expected to exceed $500,000.
The bag is made by scientists and designers from collagen extracted from the remains of a Tyrannosaurus rex found in the United States. The unique blue-green accessory is currently on display next to a dinosaur model at the Art Zoo Museum.
Project leader Che Connon said that this product is not a simple eco-leather substitute, but represents a new technological step.
