Ingredients:
800g beef
100g butter
2 onions
2 bell peppers
3 cloves of garlic
2 tomatoes
1 tablespoon tomato paste
300ml water
10–12 potatoes
Spices:
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons red chili powder
2 teaspoons oregano
A little salt
Preparation:
Melt the butter in a large pot. Add the coarsely chopped meat and stir. Cover the pot and cook over medium heat until the meat is well-cooked. Then, add the onion (sliced into rings) and the coarsely chopped bell peppers; sauté for 4–5 minutes. Add the finely chopped garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, and spices, and continue sautéing for another 2 minutes.
Add the water, cover the pot, and simmer over low heat until the meat softens slightly. You can add a little more hot water if necessary.
Cut the potatoes in half or into quarters, depending on their size, and add them to the pot. Stir, cover, and cook until the potatoes are tender.
Finally, serve the dish with boiled rice.
