Social media reports of a factory explosion in Kokand have spread. It was reported that yesterday, May 16, at the Indorama plant in Kokand, a hose ruptured while ammonia was being transferred from a wagon to a special container, and approximately 10 percent of the ammonia leaked into the plant. All citizens and plant workers were urgently evacuated from the scene. About 10 people sought emergency medical help. At the moment, the roads leading to the plant are closed, ensuring the safety of citizens. All forces and technical means have eliminated the emergency.
It was also noted that the situation is under the control of law enforcement agencies.
