“Devil Fish” Out for a Daytime Walk

Biologists have managed to photograph a “Devil Fish” that does not show its color during the day off the coast of the Canary Islands. This fish, known as the “Devil Fish” or “Deep Sea Angler” because of its frightening appearance, lives at depths of 200 to 1,500 meters, where sunlight hardly penetrates. Therefore, it is very rare to see it during the day. According to scientists, this fish may have moved to shallower depths in search of food or due to changes in ocean conditions and other environmental factors.
