Deputy Minister: The mine problem slows down work in the liberated territories

The main obstacle to the restoration of the liberated lands in Azerbaijan is mines - this factor slows down the implementation of multi-profile projects in these territories, which form the basis of economic revival.

Report informs, Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov said this during the Third dialogue of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the theme "Results of the Global SDG Summit for 2023 and the role of supreme audit institutions in the implementation of the SDGs".

S. Mammadov noted that the country's goals under the SDGs are to clear the territories of mines and unexploded ordnance, increase spending in this direction, improve the standard of living of the population, including strengthening the social protection of vulnerable groups.
