Deported Uzbeks will not be issued with a “zagranpasport” for 2 years

Starting from September 1, 2025, citizens of Uzbekistan who have been deported from abroad or returned on the basis of readmission will not be issued with a biometric passport for traveling abroad for 2 years. This is stipulated in the new government resolution “On additional measures to improve labor migration processes” of May 13. Exceptions are determined only by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
🔎 Who will be included in this list?
• Citizens who have stayed abroad illegally or whose visas have expired;
• Deportees;
• Violators of the laws of a foreign state;
• Those who have damaged the international reputation of Uzbekistan.
📁 The information is maintained in a single electronic register based on information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Migration Agency.
⚠️ The following measures will be applied to deported citizens:
• Return expenses will be recovered from the citizen himself;
• Subsidies and assistance received will be returned;
• They will not be sent to work in developed countries for 1 year;
• Fines and guarantees will be imposed in case of violation of the agreement.
These measures are being introduced in order to regulate migration processes and reduce illegal immigration.
