Shavkat Mirziyoyev officially welcomed Czech Prime Minister Andrey Babis at the Kuksaroy residence. The ceremony included a guard of honor, the national anthems of the two countries, and the leaders greeted members of the delegation. After that, high-level negotiations began. The Czech Prime Minister arrived in Tashkent on April 29 and was met by Abdulla Aripov. During the visit, he visited the New Uzbekistan Park, laid flowers at the Independence Monument, and participated in a business forum.
The talks discussed expanding trade and economic ties, increasing trade turnover to $1 billion, and developing joint projects in industry, energy, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and IT. Agreements were also reached to strengthen cooperation in the areas of "green" energy, mechanical engineering, digitalization, and "smart cities."
The parties agreed to expand educational, cultural and tourism ties, establish joint programs and exchanges. At the same time, the possibility of resuming direct flights between Tashkent and Prague is also being considered. At the end of the visit, a number of documents were signed aimed at expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, and it was agreed to develop a joint "roadmap" for the implementation of the agreements.
