Crocodile kills 12‑year‑old boy in India
In Uttar Pradesh, India, a 12‑year‑old boy was killed in a crocodile attack.
Reports state that after working in the fields with his uncle, he was returning home and washing his hands and feet by the river when the crocodile attacked. The predator bit his leg and dragged him into the water. After about five hours of searching, locals found the boy’s body. Forestry officials confirmed that the crocodile had partially consumed it.
It was also reported that the boy’s parents had previously passed away. Local authorities announced that his family would receive financial assistance of 400,000 rupees.
