Cooperation with Gazprom is expected to be further developed

Within the framework of the” St. Petersburg International Gas Forum-2023“, a working meeting was held between the Minister of energy of Uzbekistan Zhurabek Mirzamahmudov and the chairman of the Board of Gazprom Alexei Miller.

In it, the parties considered the progress and prospects of cooperation. In particular, the issue of supplying Russian gas to Uzbekistan through the territory of Kazakhstan, which began in October 2023, was discussed. It was noted that a special allocated line based on the Central Asia – Central gas pipeline system plays a special role in the sustainable supply of energy to Uzbekistan's consumers, which is especially important in the autumn-winter season.
