Construction of IT park launched in Yangi Namangan

Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a modern IT park in Yangi Namangan. It was noted that since the beginning of the year, $2 billion in foreign investment has been attracted to the Namangan region. Also, 20 new projects worth $1.8 billion are being launched with partners from China, Turkey, India and Russia. As a result of these projects, it is planned to create 6.5 thousand new jobs and produce more than 30 new products. Within the framework of the $117 million project being implemented in collaboration with Chinese partners, IT parks will be built in the cities of Yangi Namangan, Samarkand, Chirchik, Nurafshon, Urgench and Navoi. The complex in Yangi Namangan is the first stage of this project.

According to the project, a modern 17-story building will be built on an area of ​​​​1.7 hectares. The complex will include educational and export centers, coworking and office spaces, a startup accelerator, and a service system for foreign companies. The IT park, which covers an area of ​​​​about 18 thousand square meters, is expected to host dozens of companies and startups, and create high-income jobs for about 2 thousand young people. After the project is launched, it is planned to increase the volume of IT services in the region to 500 billion soums per year, and the export volume to 30 million dollars.

At the end of the event, the President laid the foundation stone for the construction of the New Namangan IT Park. A number of new investment and construction projects to be implemented in the region were also launched.
