On October 7, Hamas launched a massive rocket attack on the territory of Israel, penetrated the country's border with Gaza, and captured more than 100 people, including foreigners. Israel is bombing the Gaza Strip in response to an attack by the Hamas group.

By October 10, the number of dead on the Israeli side exceeded 1,200, and about 3,000 were injured. In the Gaza Strip, a total of 950 people were killed, and about 5,000 people were injured.

On the same day, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that the Israeli army had "taken control of the situation" and was "launching a full-scale attack."

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtaye has warned that the Gaza Strip is facing a humanitarian disaster due to the escalation of the conflict between Hamas and Israel.
