Conflict with a courier: restaurant’s outdoor seating area removed, employee jailed

A video showing a restaurant employee insulting and threatening a 17-year-old courier in the Mirobod district of Tashkent has circulated on social media.
The incident occurred on October 17, around 1:00 PM. As the courier attempted to ride his scooter along the pedestrian walkway in front of the restaurant, a 36-year-old man stopped him, used abusive language, and threatened him with physical violence.
The man later apologized to the courier for his rude behavior and expressed remorse. Additionally, the Tashkent City Administration determined that the outdoor seating area set up by the restaurant was obstructing pedestrian traffic, and the tables and chairs have since been removed.

According to the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs, a report was filed against the man for "petty hooliganism" under Article 183 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, and the case was referred to the court.
A source for Kun.uz reported that the man was sentenced by the court to 5 days of detention.
