"Comfortable school": 217 buildings will be commissioned by 2024 - government

ASTANA, August 24 - Sputnik. The implementation of the national project aimed at eliminating emergency schools, three-shift education and a shortage of student places has been going on for almost a year, the government recalled.

During this time, the number of schools that are not enough to achieve the stated goals was determined. As a result, the project plans to build 369 modern schools of a new format for 740,000 student places.

At the same time, according to the government, 205 educational facilities will be built in cities, in villages - 164. Completion of the construction of 217 buildings is scheduled for 2024, another 152 - for 2025.

In total, 2.4 trillion tenge will be allocated for the implementation of the school construction project, the government added.
