Cleanup Begins in the Tax System: All District Tax Office Heads Ordered to Be Dismissed

The First Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee, Mubin Mirzayev, has been dismissed for negligence and irresponsibility. Inspections at Tashkent’s “Chorsu” market and the “Malika” торговый complex revealed serious violations of payment discipline, with many entrepreneurs failing to pay taxes. In addition, cases of inflated payments and artificial increases in tax figures were found while fulfilling the state budget plan. Mirzayev had worked in this position for seven years and was directly responsible for this area.

The Tax Committee was also instructed to dismiss all heads of district tax inspections in Tashkent and replace them with acting officials. The head of the Shaykhontohur district tax office, X. Mullajonov, and the head of the Tashkent City Tax Department, Y. Nasimjanov, were removed from their posts.

The new leadership has been tasked with creating an environment of zero tolerance toward corruption and appointing qualified young professionals to key positions. Deputy Prosecutor General A. Ganiev was also dismissed for facilitating tax evasion.
