Classes at Tashkent Higher Education Institutions to Start at 8:00 AM from the New Academic Year
Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, first-shift classes at higher education institutions in Tashkent will begin at 8:00 AM.
According to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the new schedule is being introduced to reduce the transport burden during morning and evening rush hours, as well as to organize the educational process more efficiently.
In the new academic year, classes for first-year students will begin on September 7, while classes for second-year and senior students will start on September 14.
