Clashes on the Afghanistan–Pakistan border

On the night of October 12, intense fighting broke out along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border.
The Taliban blamed Pakistan for the explosions that occurred in Afghanistan on October 10 and warned of retaliation. Two days later, exchanges of gunfire erupted between the two sides.
Pakistan called the attacks “provocative and baseless” and announced that it had carried out retaliatory strikes.
According to Pakistan Radio, clashes took place in at least six locations. As a result, 12 Pakistani soldiers were killed and two others were wounded.
Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense warned that if Pakistan violates the country’s airspace again, there will be a “strong response.”
