Citizens of Tajikistan are among the leaders in obtaining citizenship on Sakhalin

About 2,500 foreign citizens arrived in Sakhalin in the first quarter of 2023. According to statistics, most often citizens come to Sakhalin from the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus. Thus, the main migration flows are formed by citizens of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Of these, about 89% of foreigners come to Sakhalin to earn money. It is reported by KP.RU

In addition, in 2022, more than 11,200 permits were issued on Sakhalin, and in 4 months of 2023 there were already more than 3,800 thousand of them. It is noteworthy that the main recipients of patents from January to April are citizens from Uzbekistan - approximately 79%, Tajikistan - 16.7%. As a rule, foreigners who have issued a patent are workers, carpenters, car drivers, or are involved in construction, wholesale and retail trade. However, labor migration in Russia has not yet recovered from the pandemic.

Among the migrants who have entered the citizenship of the Russian Federation, the leading positions are occupied by representatives of Tajikistan - in 2022, 1,315 people received passports, and since the beginning of 2023 - 385.
