In the first half of this year, about 87,000 Tajiks received Russian citizenship, which is 13,000 more than a year earlier. This is stated in the official statistics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on the migration situation in the Russian Federation.
According to statistics, over 205,000 foreigners received Russian citizenship in January-June, or 382,000 less than in the same period of 2022.
Citizens of Tajikistan are leading in obtaining Russian citizenship, citizens of Ukraine are in second place - 39,000, and Armenia is in third - almost 18,000.
Next come Kazakhstan (13 thousand 876), Kyrgyzstan (10 thousand 500), Uzbekistan (9 thousand 340), Azerbaijan (7 thousand 457).
Also, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, 128 thousand 156 citizens of Tajikistan have a residence permit in the Russian Federation.
