Chinese scientists will test a film that slows down the melting of glaciers

A group of Chinese scientists representing Nanjing University conducted an experiment with a special film designed to increase the level of protection against the melting of glaciers in Jiangsu Province.

In this experiment, four hundred square meters of film, which can reflect 93% of the sun's rays, was placed on the surface of the Dagu glacier located in the Ngawa Tibetan Autonomous Region.

It is noted that the experiment is intended for three to five years, after which a decision will be made on the possibility of using the same materials in other glaciers, both directly in China and in other countries.
