China is building the world's first fully robotized hotel. The project is scheduled to be commissioned in 2027. Robots will handle all aspects of the new hotel, including welcoming guests, checking them in, delivering luggage to rooms, cleaning rooms, making coffee and serving breakfast. They will also be able to serve guests in different languages and deliver orders to rooms.
The complex is being built on an artificial island between Shenzhen and Zhongshan. Robots from different companies will work together on a single system. In the initial phase of the project, some complex tasks will continue to be performed by employees. However, it is planned to fully robotize the hotel by 2030.
The hotel will use service robots from Pudu Robotics. For now, humans will be responsible for maintaining the robots and making complex decisions.
