The Chinese company BYD (Build Your Dreams) wants to open its first factory abroad in Uzbekistan. "Uzavtosanoat" reported about it.
A delegation led by the founder and president of "BYD Company Ltd" Wang Chuanfu visited Uzbekistan. As part of the delegation's visit to the country, an investment agreement was signed between the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade and the company.
"According to this agreement, for the successful implementation of the project implemented by the Chinese company in our country, the attraction of foreign direct investments and the production of BYD cars running on new energy sources on the basis of a complete chain, or It is planned to organize welding, painting, and assembly processes," the report said.
It is noted that the company is ready to provide all-round assistance in gradually increasing the level of localization of cars by bringing the leading Chinese component manufacturers to Uzbekistan.
As a result of the successful introduction of BYD products to the market of Uzbekistan, it allowed the Chinese side to expand new plans in this field.
"Initially, it is planned to produce 50,000 cars at the plant, and then increase the figure to 300,000," the report says.
As part of the visit, the delegation will get a closer look at the work at the "BYD Uzbekistan Factory" factory, which is expected to soon produce cars powered by new energy sources under the BYD brand in the "Jizzakh" free economic zone. It is noted that all technological standards, including the technical requirements and location scheme of the equipment and facilities in the main lines (welding, painting, assembly) related to this plant, as well as mass production The detailed plan for the installation was completed six months ahead of schedule by the engineers of the Chinese company.
"Today, 7 dealerships and service centers of the BYD company are operating, and 6 more centers are expected to be opened in other regions by the end of the year," the report added.
Let us remind you that last year a cooperation agreement was concluded between Uzavtosanoat and BYD Company Ltd. In December of this year, an agreement was signed on the establishment of a joint venture "BYD Company Ltd".
