In the Iranian city of Minab, the bodies of children killed in what Iranian authorities say was a strike carried out by the United States and Israel have been laid to rest.

According to reports, nearly five months after the incident, the remains of 34 children were buried after their identities were confirmed through DNA testing. Specialists also identified 68 body fragments belonging to the victims.

However, the body of 7-year-old Makan Nosiri has still not been found. According to reports, a missile struck the exact location where he was standing, making it impossible to recover his remains. As a result, a symbolic empty grave was prepared in his memory. His bloodstained sweater and one sneaker are being kept in a local mosque as memorial items.

According to Iranian authorities, 168 people were killed in the February 28, 2026 strike on a girls' primary school in Minab. Most of the victims were schoolgirls aged 7 to 12, along with several teachers.
