Child Abuse Case Under Investigation in Namangan

A criminal case has been opened in Namangan Region following a report of violence against a seven-year-old girl. The suspect, a relative of the victim, has been detained and placed under arrest.

According to investigators, the man had prior convictions for similar offenses. The child is currently under medical supervision at a hospital.

The incident has caused a strong public reaction. Dilnoza Azizova, a member of the Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis, stated that it is time to introduce life imprisonment for individuals committing such crimes.
