Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan met with the Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkey

On Tuesday, April 4, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with the Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkey, Rifat Hisarciklyoglu. According to the state news agency "Turkmenistan Today", during the meeting, representatives of the two states discussed trade between Turkmenistan and Turkey and a possible increase in trade volumes. The parties discussed the Zero Waste initiative, which was previously raised at the UN General Assembly session. An agreement was reached on the further development of relations in the field of ecology. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the effectiveness of the dialogue in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. It was noted that the parties see potential in the development of bilateral relations in the fuel and energy, transport and communications, agriculture, food and textile industries, as well as in high technology. Turkey and Turkmenistan also have joint programs in the food sector and pharmaceuticals. At the meeting, it was emphasized that the rational use of land and water resources is of particular importance. Türkiye and Turkmenistan exchanged experience in this area. Efficient cooperation in the field of education was also noted, as evidenced by the established inter-university relations.
