Central Asian countries want to create a Made in Central Asia brand

The first meeting of the Council of Trade and Investment Ministers of Central Asia and Azerbaijan was held in Tashkent. At the meeting, plans were announced to increase the volume of trade between the countries of the region to $ 20 billion. The meeting discussed the creation of joint production sites under the Made in Central Asia brand, strengthening industrial integration and attracting international investors to the region.
According to data, Uzbekistan's trade with the countries of the region continues to grow steadily: from $ 3.2 billion in 2017 to $ 6.9 billion in 2024. Significant growth was recorded in trade volumes with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan. Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, proposed holding a Central Asia-Azerbaijan Investment Forum in Samarkand in 2026.
At the end of the meeting, a joint communiqué was signed on expanding economic cooperation.
