Celine Dion’s 1998 Look Joins the Barbie Collection

Mattel has created a Barbie doll inspired by Canadian singer Celine Dion’s outfit at the 1998 Academy Awards ceremony. The Independent reported the news.

The doll recreates the singer’s look from that evening, featuring a dark blue, high-necked dress with long sleeves. The outfit is completed with a miniature replica of the “Heart of the Ocean” necklace, silver earrings, and chestnut-colored hair styled to match Dion’s original look.

At the 1998 ceremony, Celine Dion performed My Heart Will Go On, the soundtrack song from James Cameron’s film Titanic. The song went on to become one of the singer’s most famous works.

Dion expressed her delight that the doll commemorates an important moment in her career. She also shared her hope that it would inspire people to believe in themselves, pursue their dreams, and appreciate the power of their own voices.
