Russia and Tajikistan do not have a border, so goods are always delivered by land through the territory of another state

Russian customs officers check only 1.3% of Tajik cargo delivered to Russia; there can be no delays.

This was announced by the acting head of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, Ruslan Davydov.

He noted that delays in the delivery of goods may be influenced by other CIS countries through which cargo from Tajikistan arrives in the Russian Federation.

Davydov reminded TASS that Russia and Tajikistan do not have a border, so cargo always passes through the territories of other countries by land transport.

He also noted that the issue of using navigation seals to track cargo was discussed with colleagues in the customs department of Tajikistan.

A unified strategy for the development of multimodal transport will appear in Tajikistan

“The use of navigation seals would allow, if the cargo is traveling under a seal, to negotiate with colleagues, primarily with Kazakhstan, so that this cargo is not opened,” Davydov said.

Let us recall that earlier Tajik entrepreneurs complained that in Russia they spend a long time checking trucks with goods from Tajikistan, which is why agricultural products spoiled and thereby brought losses to sellers.
