Cannavaro: "I hope we fight until the end"

Uzbekistan national team head coach Fabio Cannavaro expressed his thoughts after the draw:
“This is the World Cup - anything can happen, no matter who you play. There is excitement, I hope we will fight until the end,” he said.

Yesterday, on December 5, the draw for the 2026 World Cup was made. The Uzbekistan national team, led by Fabio Cannavaro, fell into Group “K”. According to it, the opponents are:

1. June 17 - Colombia (Mexico, “Azteca” stadium)
2. June 23 - Portugal (Guadalajara, “Guadalajara” stadium)
3. June 27 - Congo/Jamaica/New Caledonia (Miami or Atlanta)

The World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada and Mexico. 48 teams will compete for the championship.
