He combined electronic music with religious service, attracting a large audience. However, the event sparked discontent among some local Christians and clergy, who argued that such activities contradict Christian traditions and church ethics.
Some priests criticized the blending of faith with nightlife, while others praised it as a modern and innovative way to engage with youth. The DJ priest, who has 2.7 million Instagram followers, calls his work “a form of spiritual expression and a way to connect with young people.” Thus, he serves in church by day and DJs in clubs by night.
