According to the publication, the pop star was stopped by police on the evening of March 4 in Ventura County (California). She was handcuffed and taken to a police station to clarify the circumstances. The 44-year-old Spears was released from the holding cell early in the morning on March 5.

At the same time, People reports that the arrest record includes the phrase “court appearance with subsequent release,” without specifying a probation period. Britney Spears must appear in court regarding this case on May 4.

The artist has not yet commented on the incident. Her account on one of the social media platforms was deactivated again — this happened a few days before the arrest.

It should be recalled that in 2021, a court in Los Angeles freed Spears from a 13-year conservatorship that had been controlled by her father Jamie Spears, who managed Britney’s finances and monitored her online activity.
