Britain to ban cigarettes for life for people born after 2008
A new law has been passed in the UK to create a “smoke-free generation”.
According to a parliamentary resolution, anyone born after January 1, 2009, will be banned from buying cigarettes for life. The aim is to completely protect future generations from tobacco use.
The new law will also tighten the regulation of tobacco and vaping products. Vaping will now be banned in cars with children, in front of schools and hospitals. Officials are calling the decision “a historic step for the health of the nation”.
At the same time, Uzbekistan and neighboring countries have also introduced strict restrictions on e-cigarettes in recent years.
