Bridge collapses in China

A newly constructed section of the 758-meter-long Hongqi Bridge in China's Sichuan province has partially collapsed due to landslides. No casualties have been reported so far. The bridge had been temporarily closed to traffic before the collapse due to cracks and landslides in the area.
The Hongqi Bridge, which opened this year, is an important part of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway.
