Boxing was not included in the 2028 Olympic Games

Boxing is not included in the sports program of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The reason for this is that the IOC does not recognize the IBA due to the complete lack of financial transparency. The IOC announced that any boxer who is part of the IBA will not be able to participate in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. A final decision will be made in 2025, meaning boxing could still be included in the program if organizers comply with IOC requirements.

Boxing has been featured in nearly every Summer Olympics since its first appearance in 1904. The last time this sport was removed from the Olympic program was in 1912, due to Swedish law banning it.
