Bodies of 8 Uzbek citizens killed in Tatarstan brought back to Uzbekistan

The bodies of eight Uzbek citizens who were killed in a drone attack in Tatarstan have been brought back to Uzbekistan.

They had been working at a construction company in Nizhnekamsk. Several other Uzbek citizens were also injured in the attack and hospitalized.

A special commission established by the Uzbek government organized the repatriation of the victims’ bodies, assistance to those injured and support for their families. On August 12, the bodies of all eight citizens were brought to Uzbekistan on a special flight. Efforts to assist the injured are continuing in cooperation with the Russian side.

It is worth recalling that on August 10, Ukrainian drones attacked several facilities in Nizhnekamsk, killing 13 people. The victims included eight Uzbek citizens and one Tajik citizen.
