Blogger named Jafar sentenced to 10 days in jail over inappropriate pool video
A video featuring a blogger named Jafar and his acquaintance at a swimming pool with a scantily dressed woman was widely circulated on social media, sparking public discussion.
According to reports, the court classified their actions as petty hooliganism and, under Article 183 of Uzbekistan’s Code of Administrative Responsibility, sentenced both men to 10 days of administrative detention.
The blogger apologized and said he would not make similar videos that he described as being «inappropriate according to Uzbek values» in the future.
