According to Biden,Washington wants to prevent the Ukrainian conflict from escalating into a major war in Europe.
If Russia is invaded by Ukraine, it will come to the border with the allies of the United States on NATO.
“Do you know of any major conflict in Europe in which we (the United States) were not involved? We don't want it to happen again. We want to make sure that (in Europe) democracy is stable. And Ukraine plays a key role in this,” said the American president.
Since February 2022, the United States, together with other Western countries, has provided military and financial assistance to Ukraine. Washington supplies Kiev with weapons and ammunition. On October 15, Jake Sullivan, assistant to the president of the United States for National Security, said that the United States is planning to agree on the allocation of more than $ 2 billion in aid to Ukraine and Israel.
