Bicycle ride dedicated to World Bicycle Day took place in Tbilisi

In honor of the World Bicycle Day, which is celebrated on June 3, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia held a bike ride. Representatives of the country's sports community took part in the event together with the National Cycling Federation of Georgia.
The participants noted that the World Bicycle Day is a holiday that unites countries and peoples. He once again emphasizes the power of sport as a messenger of peace, establishing fruitful cooperation in this area.
World Bicycle Day was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in April 2018 at the initiative of Turkmenistan in order to draw attention to the benefits of using a bicycle as a simple, affordable, clean and environmentally friendly means of transportation.
Cycling cleans the air and reduces congestion, while cycling promotes health by improving the functioning of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, increasing endurance and reducing the risk of developing many diseases.
