The Ministry of defense of Belarus claims that in the afternoon of September 28, a Polish helicopter has repeatedly violated Belarusian airspace.

"At 15:02 today (September 28), radiolocation detection equipment from the Air Force and Air Defense Forces detected a Polish aircraft approaching the Belarusian border. At about 15: 20, the plane crossed the border of the Republic of Belarus and traveled a distance of up to one and a half kilometers inland,” the Ministry of Defense said.

They added that at 16:22 the helicopter again broke the state border and entered 300 meters inland.

"The data was confirmed by objective control data. In this regard, the aviation on duty was lifted into the air, " the ministry said in a message.

A spokesman for the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces, Yatzek Goriszewski, said that Warsaw would reject the information received from Minsk.

“From our side, no airspace violations were observed. We confirmed this from our radar systems, " he said.

The Ministry of foreign affairs of Belarus reported that there was a sharp protest of Poland's interim affairs representative in Belarus, Martin Woysehowski, over the incident.

In early September, the Belarusian government accused Poland of breaching the Belarusian border in the Grodno region. Poland called the statements of the Belarusian side provocation.

In the same month, Poland also accused Belarus of attempting to break the border. The Polish Ministry of Defence published a video of a group of immigrants demolishing a fence on the border. It turned out that this video is from 2021, and previously the Polish military used these frames.

In August, against the background of the arrival of Polish “Wagner” mercenaries in Belarus and the influx of illegal immigrants, additional troops began to deploy on the border with Belarus.
