Beijing to ban sale and lease of drones
On May 1, Beijing, China, will implement new regulations that restrict the sale and use of drones. This decision was made from the point of view of security. Owners of drones will now have to register their devices with the police. Violators can be fined 500 yuan ($73) and have the device confiscated. The restrictions were approved in March, and city officials have cited the need to tighten controls on drones to address safety concerns in low-altitude airspace.
